PMAY Scheme Details || Odisha PMAY-G

Introduction

Food, cloth and house is the basic necessity of human being. So Government of India provide affordable house to all houseless family. To fulfill this Government launch Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(PMAY).

This scheme is primarily divided into 2 categories.

  1. PMAY (Urban)
  2. PMAY (Gramin)

PMAY-U is to provide affordable house to all eligible Indian citizen living in urban areas.

PMAY-G is to provide affordable housing to all eligible citizen living in rural areas.

Aim and objective of PMAY

PMAY is a central government scheme to provide pucca house with basic facilities. Government target those houseless household family who lives in kutcha or dilapidated house in rural area. This scheme was launched on 25 june 2015.

Important features of PMAY

✓ The size of of the house will be 25square meter.

The cost of construction to be shared between central and state government in the ratio of 60:40 in plain areas and 90:10 ratio in North-Eastern area and Himalayan states (Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh,Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand).


Beneficiaries who lives in plain area will get Rs. 1.20 lakhs and those who lives in hilly region get Rs. 1.30 lakhs.

If beneficiary want, then he/she will be avail loan upto Rs. 70,000/- from financial institution.

Under this scheme government also provide basic amenities, i.e. toilet drinking water connection, electricity connection, LPG connection, waste disposal benefit, etc.


Additional assistance of Rs 12,000/- is given to beneficiaries account for construction of toilet under Swacch Bharat Mission.

Identification/Selection Of Beneficiary

Houseless family.


A family with no adult member between 16 to 59 years of age.


Household with no literate adult above 25 years.


Households with any disabled member.


Landless households whose major part of income comes from manual casual labour.
Beneficiary having cutcha house.


That beneficiary should not have any centrally support Indian Government Housing Scheme.

Family income should be as per EWS or LIG.


If a families annual income is less than 3 lakhs per annum, then that families lies under EWS(Economically Weaker Section) group.


If families income is in between 3 lakhs to 6 lakhs (3-6 lakhs), then that families lies under LIG(Lower Income Group).


Family income more than 6 lakhs per annum, then that family is ineligible for this scheme.

Document Required to Apply for PMAY

Following document are required to apply for PMAY Scheme..

  1. Aadhaar card
  2. Beneficiary Bank passbook
  3. Income proof
  4. Job card for MGNREGA registered beneficiary
